Object Privilege Definitions--Common Capabilities

This table presents common capabilities that can be granted to users through Access Controls and may include links to further information about performing the action.

Privilege Definition For more information
Change Database Application Info Allows a user to modify application information that applies to all users. Contact Astoria Support for further information.
Check Out Check out the locking unit. About Checking Out Objects
Delete Delete the object. Deleting a Folder Item from the Repository
Delete Children Delete an object from this container.
Destroy Permanently Destroys an item permanently.
Important: Destroy Permanently is required to delete items from the wastebasket. This privilege should be granted extremely judiciously. Permanently deleted items cannot be restored from backup individually. At best, the entire repository must be restored to a temporary server, the lost file(s) exported, then re-imported onto the production system. History and references are lost.
