You can move objects in the repository within a cabinet. Cross-cabinet moves are not supported.
At times, you may need to move an object in the repository from one folder to another in the same cabinet. When you move an object, references to or from the object are not affected.
You can move individual objects, or move folders of objects, including any subfolders.
Important: Moving an object can affect object permissions if access controls are inherited from a folder. Additionally, moving an object can affect what filtering constraints are available to documents that inherit constraints from a parent folder.
Two actions allow you to move objects:
- Drag and Drop
- Cut and Paste
Note: Objects created by an edition in the edition folder (
) cannot be moved.
