Toolbars in Views

Each view includes a toolbar with icons and options to perform functions in that view.

Icon Function Supported in Views
Synchronizes the Navigation and Detail views. See Synchronizing the Navigation and Details Views.
  • Navigation
Refreshes the view to reflect the current state of the repository.
Note: To reduce network traffic, avoid refreshing the Navigation view. Instead, select a lower-level folder or object and invoke the Refresh command, or refresh objects in a different view.

Displays the Astoria Home Page.
Note: An administrator can set the message that appears on the Home Page. See Setting Global Messages.

Pins a Detail or Browse view. See About Pinned Views.

Displays a menu for the view. Menu items may include:

Clicking the down arrow displays a list of the most recently used objects from the Details view.

If the Details view displays search results, the MRU list shows the criteria used to create the search results.

Move through multiple pages of list items.

Applies the presentation format to all objects of the selection type.

Clears a custom presentation. The default presentation will be used.

Opens a dialog where you can configure a custom presentation. See Modifying a View Presentation

Filters a tabular view to eliminate rows that do not contain desired text. See Filtering Rows in Tabular Views.

  • Minimizes the view. The view contents are no longer visible.
  • Maximizes the view. The view occupies the entire Workbench window.
  • Restores the view to its normal location and size after it has been minimized or maximized.
