For users of the oXygen editor and Astoria, an administrator can configure the Astoria server to automatically download styles.
This feature is useful for customers who:
- Use a framework in the oXygen editor (for example, Docbook or DITA) but want a look and feel different from one provided by the oXygen editor.
- Extend the framework provided by the oXygen editor with their own elements.
Two commands in the Workbench Ribbon enable this feature, found in the
Administration tab,
Maintenance band:
-
Create OxygenXML Customization
-
Update Oxygen XML Customization
When an oXygen editor customization is created or modified and uploaded into the repository, users who log into Astoria through the oXygen editor will be prompted to download the customization. After downloading, the user will be prompted to close the oXygen editor and log in again to make the customization active.
Important: In order to update your customizations for use in Oxygen WebApp Editor, you must use the WebApp Editor’s administrator interface using your web browser. Customizations must be reloaded into the Web App Editor (using the administrator browser following each Astoria update.
