Creating an Oxygen XML Customization

Administrators can create and upload an Oxygen XML customization into the repository and make it available to Oxygen and Astoria users.

Modify and test an existing Oxygen frameworks css folder, then create a zip file to upload.
  1. In the Workbench Ribbon, click the Administration tab and in the Maintenance band click Create OxygenXML Customization.
    The Create OxygenXML customization dialog appears.


  2. Provide the following:
    Field Description
    Customization Name Supply a name for the customization.
    Customization Archive Click then navigate to and select the zip file you created earlier on the local file system.
    Based On Select the type of structure to base the customization on.
    Elements with auto-generated id Enter a list of elements for which Oxygen will auto-generate ids. Separate the list items by a comma.
    CSS File Name Enter the root file to start with in the list of css files you're updating.
    Public IDs This configures which Astoria DTDs Oxygen will target for this customization.

    Select items from the Available list and add to the Present list as required.

  3. Click Ok.
The customization is uploaded to the application cabinet icon Administration cabinet, Styles > Editors > OxygenXML > [Customization Name] and is available for Oxygen users to download the next time they log in to the repository through Oxygen.
