Determining Who is Authorized to Edit

You can determine what users enjoy an editing license by viewing the group membership.

For a user to enjoy a named user license, it is not sufficient that the user be a member/descendant member of the license group. Additional requirements are:
  • The license must be installed.
  • The license must not have expired.
  • The number of users in the group must not exceed the number granted by the license file.

If your registered users count exceeds your authorized users count, not all registered users will be able to edit structured documents. See Checking License Information. This task allows you to determine which users are authorized to edit.

View the license group membership using one of these methods:
The group membership appears in the Details view. The view contains an Is Authorized column. Authorized users have a dot in the column.

Selecting a user from the list also shows that property in the Properties view.
