Authoring Licenses and License Groups

Astoria supports two XML authoring license types, and supplies two user groups whose memberships define who can use those licenses.

Your system's authoring licenses specify the number of users who are authorized to use them. Authorized users must be members of the defined license groups, and the number of registered users in the license group must not exceed the license count. See Checking License Information.

License groups have a flavor of licenseGroup. The flavor is displayed in the Workbench status bar when a license group is selected. The group icon for a license group is distinct; a key is in the lower right corner ().

Important: For security reasons, all group-based licenses require up to 10 minutes to be uploaded internally following any changes to group members.

Structured Document Update License

This license supports integrated XML editors integrated with Astoria through WAN bridges. Before an Astoria user can use an integrated editor, an administrator must make them a member of the com.lspeed.astoria.StructuredDocumentUpdateLicense group.

Oxygen Web Editor License

This separately-licensed editor supports the Oxygen WebApp editor. Before an Astoria user can use the Oxygen WebApp editor, an administrator must make them a member of the com.lspeed.astoria.WebEditorLicense group.
