Administrator Capabilities

This section describes the capabilities available for administrators.

Administrator capabilities are implied and not explicitly shown on the access control list of any repository object. Members of the administrators group have all capabilities on all the repository objects. Adding users or groups to the Administrators group grants those users and members all privileges.

Intrinsic Administrator privileges include the following:

Create Annotation Definition
Create Cabinet
Create Custom Attribute Definition
Create Trigger
Change Global Administration Settings
Create Event Queue
Create Role
Change Role

Note: These privileges can be delegated to other groups or users by setting them at the Global Access or Backstop Access Control level.

Unlike administrator privileges which are always enabled, command visibility in the workbench and context menus does respect group membership restrictions. See Controlling Command Visibility.
