Saving a Document in the Sandbox

This procedure allows you to store the updated structured document to your local machine's Sandbox folder.

  1. Issue the XMetaL Save command or type Ctrl+S to save a document in the Sandbox.
    The file is immediately saved to the Sandbox folder on your local machine, and remains open for editing.
  2. When you are finished editing the document, issue the XMetaL Close command, then when prompted, click Yes to save the document.
    The file is immediately saved to the Sandbox folder on your local machine, and is closed.
The document is still checked out by you, so you retain exclusive editing rights.
