Installing WAN Bridges

Enable your integrated editor to work with Astoria.

You must install your integrated editor before installing the Astoria WAN Bridge. If you install a new editor or upgrade your existing editor, you must reinstall the WAN bridges. You must also reinstall the WAN bridge following an upgrade to the repository.
Note: If your integrated editor application is open, you must close it before installing the WAN bridge. If the editor is open when you try to install the WAN bridge, you will receive an error message indicating the installation failed. Close the editor, run the Task Manager to ensure it is not still running, then execute step 1 again.
In the Workbench, select the Preferences icon , select Editor Settings, then click Install WAN Bridges.
The Install log: box appears, showing the progress of the job. The bridge files are downloaded, and the bridge is installed.
Note: Before you use Arbortext to edit repository documents, you must edit the appropriate DCF files so that the editor can access the Astoria repository functionality. See Editing Your DCF.
