Setting Attributes on a Map Element

Add attribute values on map elements using the Workbench Map Editor.

1. In the Document Structure area, select a map element.
2. In the Element Details area, click Add Attribute.
   A list of attributes appears.
3. Select an attribute from the list.
   Depending on the attribute type you select, one of these dialogs appears:

   • If you select an attribute where you must select a value from a list, the Select Attribute Value dialog appears.
     
     

     

     
     
   • If you select an attribute where you must type in a value, the Edit Attribute Value dialog appears.
     
     

     

     
     
   • If you select a reference attribute (such as href, conref, topicref, or mapref), the Edit Attribute of Element dialog appears.
     
     

     

     
     
4. Select or type the attribute value, or browse to and select the object to reference.
5. Click OK.
