You can use the XMetaL Editor to open a document in the Sandbox to edit.
Important: Open the document using XMetaL options. If you open the checked out document from the Workbench, you will open the last checked in version of the document from the repository, which then overwrites the copy in the Sandbox.
In the XMetaL Editor:
