Editing or Removing Attributes from a Map Element

Modify or delete attributes from a map element using the Workbench Map Editor.

1. In the Document Structure area, select a map element that has one or more attribute values set.

To modify an attribute value:

2. In the Element Details area, select the attribute name from the list.
3. Click Edit Attribute.
4. In the attribute dialog that appears, modify the attribute value.
   Note: Ensure the attribute value is valid for the selected element. For example, do not change the type attribute of a topicref that references a concept to task.
5. Click OK.

To delete an attribute value:

6. In the Element Details area, select the attribute name from the list.
7. Click Remove Attribute.
