Checking In Structured Documents in an Editor

You can check in changes you have made to a structured document using the Map Editor, embedded editor, or an integrated WAN editor.

  1. Initiate the checkin process using one of these methods:
    Editor Procedure for Checking In
    Map Editor See Saving and Checking In a Map.
    Embedded Editor
    1. Click in the editor tab.
    2. In the Close Editor dialog, click Checkin.
    Arbortext Editor
    1. Click File > Close.
    2. In the confirmation dialog, click Save.
    3. In the Save/Close dialog, click Checkin.

    XMetaL From the Repository menu, click Check In Document.
  2. Confirm if necessary by clicking Yes.
  3. In the Checkin dialog enter a version note [optional].
  4. If your project uses either workflow or snapshot labels, enter or select appropriate values in the remaining fields.
  5. Click OK.
The document is saved and checked into the repository, and is unlocked so other users can view it or made changes to it.
