The Repository menu is added to the XMetaL menu bar when the Astoria WAN Bridge is installed. Astoria command icons are also added to the XMetaL toolbar.

New From Repository Template | Open the New XML Document dialog where you can create a new XML document based on an existing template. |

Open Checked Out Document | Open a structured document that is checked out to the user and stored in the Sandbox on the local machine. |

Open from Repository | Open an existing Astoria structured document or document fragment. In the Select Object dialog, browse for a structured document (or element) in the repository. Only the most current version of a structured document can be edited. The structured document is checked out and opened for editing.
Note: Elements residing in other documents or locking units (reused information) will be read-only.

Check In Document | Check in the document you are editing. |

Check Out Document | Check out the current read-only document. The document is fetched from the repository into the local cache
and opened for editing.
Note: A document can open in XMetaL in read-only format if you issue the Edit command on a document that is checked out by another user.

Undo Checkout | Close the document you are editing, discarding all changes you have made since checking it out. Unlocks the locking unit(s) and closes the edit window. |

Document Properties | Displays the properties of the loaded document. Unlike the Show Properties command, this command does not operate on the selected element. |

Repository Options | Displays the URL of the repository. | |

Show Properties | Display the properties of the selected element. Note that any Custom Attributes are displayed as part of the properties. |

Show History | Display the version history for the selected element. |

Show Access Controls | View and change access controls of the selected element.
Note: You must be authorized to change access controls.

Show Where Used | Display all other structured documents that use the selected element. |

Edit References | Important: If your are using XMetaL Version 13, see Workarounds for Issues with XMetaL Version 13 References.
Select an element, and click this command to manage your reference attributes. |

Show Annotations | Display annotations attached to the selected element. |

Get Next Annotated Element | Select the next element that contains annotations. When found, the element is highlighted and the cursor is moved to that element. Click Show Annotations to view the comments associated with the element. |

Help | Launch the Astoria Online Help system. |

Log On to Repository | Displays the Astoria Authentication dialog so that you can supply your credentials to verify your identity. This command is invoked implicitly from many operations. Note: This command is available only when you are not connected to the Astoria repository.

Log Off from Repository | Terminates the validity of your identity. The next operation you attempt that accesses Astoria requires you to reauthenticate. Note: This command is available only when you are connected to the Astoria repository.
