XMetaL Version 13 does not automatically update new or changed references in topics or maps, so authors must issue the Refresh All References command or press F11 after inserting new or changing existing references to correctly update the reference.
If you insert a conref target using the Astoria command, or by entering the target in the Attribute Inspector's conref field, the referencing element's content is not replaced with the conref target's content, but is instead highlighted.
If you are editing a map using the XMetaL map editor, if you select an existing topicref and select , then select href, navigate to and select a different topic, the href is updated, but the topic title is not updated.
All references in the topic or map are updated.
