Styles Folder

The Styles folder, residing in the Administration cabinet, contains XSL files that are used to transform XML to HTML for viewing in a Browse view or web browser.

The Styles folder contains a series of XSL files that are referenced by the ACS. Additionally, the Styles folder contains a subfolder called System. The System folder contains a series of XSL files with the same name as the files in the Styles folder. Initially, the Styles folder XSL files are nearly empty, they contain references to the like-named files in the System subfolder. The files in the System subfolder contain the Astoria-supplied default implementation of the XSL transformations.

If you want to override XSL functionality, modify the XSL file in the Styles folder and add the templates you wish to override. Your template definitions in these files override the templates in the corresponding file in the System subfolder.
CAUTION:
Do not modify the XSL files in the System subfolder. You may lose these changes during the next system upgrade.
