Astoria release 6.3.4 introduced significant changes to the approval label feature.
The feature previously called Approval Labels has been changed to Snapshot Labels. This change is reflected in dialogs and configuration documents. Approval labels applied prior to release 6.3.4 are still valid and can be processed using the new feature name.
In release 6.3.4, when a user adds a snapshot label to an object, the dialog allows the user to specify that the label be added explicitly to referenced documents (and, if configured, to unstructured and external files) so those files no longer rely on label inheritance. If the approval is not explicitly applied to referenced objects, those objects nevertheless inherit the snapshot label.
Release 6.3.4 introduced the Release Management feature based on branch-and-merge operations. Release Management operations based on snapshot labels have been deprecated. All other commands that supported processing with an approval label continue to support processing using a snapshot label.
