Additional Fields for Start Translation with GlobalLink Enterprise TMS

If your system is configured to integrate with GlobalLink Enterprise TMS for translation management, the Start Translation dialog contains additional Translation options fields for you to specify.

When you issue the Start Translation command, the Start Translation dialog appears. In the Translation options area, accept the default Job Due Date or enter a different due date. The default due date is seven days from the job creation date.

Note: The Job Due Date field is for informational purposes only; GlobalLink Enterprise TMS users can refer to this information to make decisions, but it implies no specific behavior in Astoria or GlobalLink Enterprise TMS.

When you expand the GlobalLink Enterprise TMS options, some of the fields appear as well as any custom attributes defined by your GlobalLink Enterprise TMS administrator. Specify or select values for these options. For additional information, see Configuring Options in GlobalLink Enterprise TMS.

Option	Description
Project Type	By default, the Project Type value displayed is identified in the application document's GlobalLink Enterprise TMS Shortcode field. If more than one project type is defined in the GlobalLink Enterprise TMS application, you can choose a different value. The list is generated automatically.
Project File Formats	Select one of the project types from the list, which instructs GlobalLink Enterprise on which parser to apply to the content in the translation package. The list is generated automatically. Consult your GlobalLink Enterprise technical reprentative for the meaning of each list item.
Submission Claim Scope	Override the default value for the Submssion Claim Level (set in the application document). Values are File, Batch, and Language. Consult your GlobalLink Enterprise technical reprentative for the meaning of each value. Note: The value of this field cannot be changed if the system administrator has disabled the ability to override the value as configured in the application document.
Priority	Select a job priority. Values are Low, Normal, and High. Default value is Normal. Note: In the GlobalLink User Interface, the Priority column shows high priority items with a red arrow pointing up and low priority items with a blue arrow pointing down. For normal priority items. the column is blank. Functionally, the priority field may be used to indicate rush submissions. It does not cause any specific processing change, and thus requires discussions with the translators as to what effect it should have on translation processing.
Project Name	Accept the default project name or enter a different project name. The default name is the name of the selected object. Note: The submission name must not exceed 150 characters. If the name exceeds 150 characters, Astoria issues a warning after pressing OK. Change the Project Name so it no longer exceeds 150 characters. and Press OK again.
Description	Enter a description for the project. This field is optional and can be left blank.
Requires Validation	Select Yes or No. If GlobalLink Enterprise TMS is so configured, the value of this selection forces different workflows for content translation within GlobalLink Enterprise TMS.
Reference Attachment	Click Browse and navigate to and select a file that accompanies the translation package to give translators greater context for the content to be translated. This is typically a PDF of the intended output in the source language. This field is optional and can be left blank.
Pre-Approved Cost	Select Yes or No. If GlobalLink Enterprise TMS is so configured, the value of this selection forces different workflows for content translation within GlobalLink Enterprise TMS.
Cancel Outstanding Translations	When selected, Astoria first cancels any in-progress translation jobs in GlobalLink Enterprise TMS on the selected document in the chosen target languages before creating new translation jobs in those same chosen target languages. This option is hidden for selected option Update Pending Translations.
Invoice Receiver	Specify the name of the person who receives the translation invoice for this project. This field is optional and can be left blank.

Note: Five fields (TranslationType through Invoice Receiver) are custom attributes and their presence depends on GlobalLink Enterprise custom attributes defined by that system's administrator.
