Updating a Role Definition

An administrator can update a role definition to modify the collection of capabilities inherited by members of the role.

  1. Right-click the role and select Show Properties.
    The Role Properties dialog appears.
  2. Modify the role name or description, if appropriate.
  3. Modify the privileges members of the role will inherit, if appropriate.
  4. Click OK.
The updated role definition is stored in the repository. Changes you have made to the capabilities defined for the role now affect any access controls implemented through this role.
