Specifying the Backstop Prototype Folder

An administrator can specify the backstop Prototype folder for the repository.

The backstop Prototype folder controls the default location of the document templates folder in the New XML Document dialog when the user clicks Defaults.
Note: A best practice is to store your organization's document templates in a folder in a data cabinet. See About Structured Document Templates.
  1. In the Workbench Ribbon, select the Administration tab, then click Backstop Prototype Folder.
The Prototype Folder Backstop Property dialog appears.

The Prototype Folder field displays the default folder. If the field is empty, no default folder has been specified.

  2. Click Browse.
The Choose Default Prototype Folder dialog appears. If a default folder has already been specified, its location in the repository hierarchy appears in the dialog.
  3. To specify a default Prototype folder or to change the existing default, navigate to a new folder location or click to create a new folder to be the default.
  4. Select the folder and click OK.
The backstop Prototype folder property is saved in the repository.
