This task describes how to set up Oxygen Author to support use of custom DITA DTDs in Oxygen Web App.
- Create a new folder in the Oxygen frameworks folder and give it a name that coincides with your DITA extension.
- Copy your DTDs with all related mod and ent files into this folder.
If your DTDs and related files are in a folder structure, copy the entire folder structure to the new folder.
- Create an XML catalog to map the Public ID of
the DITA files to the location of the DTD files (or if you have a
catalog copy) and paste it in the new
folder.
- Open Oxygen Author and select .
- Select DITA, click Extend, and enter a Name and Description for the new extension.
- Set Storage for External, then click the folder icon and browse to the folder you created in the frameworks folder.
- Select the Catalogs tab and add the catalog that is in your new folder.
- Click OK, then click OK to apply the changes.
- Test the setup to ensure it has been configured correctly:
- Open Oxygen Author, then from the Astoria menu, navigate to and Edit a document that references the custom DTD.
- Export the same or similar document to your desktop and open it in Oxygen Author.
- Zip the new folder in the frameworks folder.
