Listing Child Releases

You can list the child releases created when a selected release was branched.

The List Child Releases command shows all of the releases that are clones of the selected release. The command shows only child releases that were created directly from the selected release when it was branched. It does not show second-generation releases (that is, when a release is branched to create a child release, then that child release is branched to create a child of the child release.)

You can invoke this command repeatedly on child releases in the list to inspect an ancestry of releases.

Right-click a release and select Versioning > List Child Releases.
A Details view displays a list of the immediate child releases of the selected release.
  • If the selected release was not branched, the Details view indicates 0 children were loaded.
  • If the selected release was branched more than once, a row is displayed for each child release.
