An administrator can create a group that allows members to view Astoria private custom attributes in the Properties view.
- Navigate to and select the All Groups administrative object.
- Right-click All Groups and select .
- In the Name field, enter Custom Attribute Viewer.
Note: Enter the name exactly as shown, with initial caps.
- In the Description field, enter an optional description.
For example, Users or Groups who are allowed to view Astoria private custom attributes.
- In the Group Type field, accept the default value of Users and Groups.
- Add Users or Groups to the new group as needed, then click OK.
- Exit the Workbench and restart it to enable the new group definition to take effect.
A user must be a member or a descendant member of this group in order for Astoria private custom attributes to be displayed read-only in the Workbench Properties view.
Note: Making this change does not enable viewing Astoria private custom attributes when you select , then click the Custom Attributes tab.
Define the Access Controls on the Custom Attribute Viewer group to limit which users can adjust their visibility of Astoria private custom attributes. For example, granting Insert Self into Group and Remove Self from Group to the All Users group enables every user to manage their own choice.
