An administrator must define the series of statuses in the workflow using message keys and strings.
For details about how to construct the message key strings, see About Workflow Status Definitions.
- Create or locate a copy of the iReviewMessages_enUS webform in the Messages folder of the Administration cabinet.
Important: Do not modify the Astoria-supplied message documents. Any
changes you make are subject to being replaced the next time your
system is upgraded.
Instead, make a copy of the webform to customize for your organization.
- If you are creating a copy, rename the copy giving it a unique name for your organization.
For example, WorkflowMessages_enUS.
- Navigate to and select the copy of the webform (for example, WorkflowMessages_enUS), in the Messages folder.
- Right-click the webform and select
The webform opens for editing.
- In the Message Items field, scroll down to and select the statusChoices item.
The Message Key field displays any existing statusChoices. The Message String field displays any existing status choice definitions.
- Edit the Message String field to include the desired series of statuses for your workflow.
Some statuses you require may already exist, so you don't need to duplicate them.
Important: Do not modify or delete existing statuses, as they may be being used by other workflows.
- In the Message Items field, select the statusChoiceValues item.
The Message Key field displays any existing statusChoiceValues. The Message String field displays any existing status choice value definitions.
- Edit the Message String field to include the desired series of status values.
Some statuses you require may already exist, so you don't need to duplicate them.
Important: Do not modify or delete existing status values, as they may be being used by other workflows.
Important: The values in the message string fields for both the statusChoices and the statusChoiceValues must match exactly, and in the same order, or the workflow will not work.
- Scroll to the top (or bottom) of the webform and click Checkin Document.
- When prompted, provide a checkin note indicating what was changed in the webform, then click OK.
The revised webform is saved in the repository. The status values you have defined can now be used in a Task Sequence document when you configure the workflow.
