You can check in a new file to replace an unstructured document stored in the repository.
This is useful when a new version doesn't depend on the existing version, such as when a new screen capture is needed to document a computer interface change. This method can also be used when files are supplied by a third-party that is not authorized to access the repository.
- Right-click the object and click .
- In the Check In dialog, click Browse, then navigate to and select the replacement file from the local file system or network.
- In the Checkin dialog enter a version note [optional].
- If your project uses either workflow or snapshot labels, enter or select appropriate values in the remaining fields.
- Click OK.
The replacement file is checked into the repository as the current version of the object. Any structured documents that reference the file (such as a graphic) will now reference the new version.
