Adding Elements to a Map Using the Context Menu

You can add elements to a map using the Workbench Map Editor context menu.

You must use this method to add element types other than topicrefs to your map.

  1. In the Document Structure area, right-click a map element adjacent to where you want to place the new element.
  2. Select one of these options for the location for the new element.
    • Add Before
    • Add After
    • Add Child

A list of element types appears.

  3. Select the element type to add.
For example, you can add a topicgroup element to the map.
The element is added at the location you specify. You may need to add attribute values to the element you just added.
