Shortcut or Reference Shortcut or ReferenceA shortcut or reference is a repository object that contains the address of another repository object, allowing you to quickly access frequently used objects.
Shortcuts are visible only by the user who created them and are displayed in that user's Workbench My Shortcuts view. References can be created anywhere in the repository hierarchy and are available to all users. To display the referenced object, double-click the shortcut or reference object. The referenced object appears in the Details view.
When available, the icon of the referenced object is decorated with an angled arrow in the lower right corner. Deleting a shortcut or reference does not delete the associated repository object.
You can also create a reference to an edition, then place the reference in a location where reviewers can access it, without having access to any other repository objects.
