FileA file is a repository object of an unstructured data type, such as a graphic, spreadsheet, or chart.
When available, the icon of the file type is utilized for displaying files of a given extension. Each time a file is changed, a new version is captured in the repository. The default pruning policy is to retain all versions. However, the policy can be configured to reduce storage overhead. Content searching only finds hits in the current document.
