Using Snapshot Labels in a Workflow

A workflow can be configured to allow a snapshot label to be added when a document transitions to a new state.

In a Task Sequence document, options are available to manage snapshot labels during a transition to a new state. The state of the document can change either when being checked in to the repository or through the Change Status command.

Option Description
Add Snapshot check box If selected, a snapshot label can be added automatically when the object changes status.
Note: You must select Add Snapshot if you also select the Signed option for the transition. See Task Sequence Document Fields.
Snapshot Label field If the Add Snapshot check box is selected, this field specifies the snapshot label that is added.
User Specifies Snapshot Label check box If both Add Snapshot check box and User Specifies Snapshot Label check box are selected, the user can select the snapshot label that is added during the transition.

If not selected, the snapshot label specified in the Snapshot Label field is used and cannot be modified by the user.

Snapshot Label is Optional check box If both the Add Snapshot check box and the User Specifies Snapshot Label check box are selected, selecting this check box allows the user to leave the Snapshot Label field blank when the transition occurs.
