A warning is issued if you are editing a topic reused elsewhere in the repository.
If your oXygen editor is configured to issue a reuse warning, you will receive a warning when opening or checking in a topic that is reused in a different map.
When you edit an object in oXygen, if the document is reused, a warning dialog appears so the user is informed that changes will potentially impact other documents.
The warning appears like this:
This warning alerts you to verify that their changes are appropriate for all the documents that reference the document being edited before you check in your changes.
If you click Show Where Used, you can see a list of objects where the document is used. This will help determine whether you should continue with the edit or checkin or cancel your edits.
If you click Continue, your editing will be checked in and will affect all reuse instances.
If you click Cancel, your editing is closed and any changes will not be saved in the repository.
