Repository Administrative List Objects

Administrative list objects enable administrators to configure the repository to meet your organization's information needs by creating or modifying list objects.

A repository contains a number of administrative lists, displayed at the top of the Navigation view. These lists include things such as custom attribute definitions, annotation definitions, groups, roles, and so on. Administrative list objects cannot be accessed by id, and you cannot change the names of the lists.

By default, all users see all administrative list objects. Administrators can control which administrative objects appear in the Workbench Navigation view for groups of users. See Controlling Administrative Object Visibility.

Note: You can set access control permissions on list objects using either Global Access Controls or by issuing the Define Access Controls command on a selected list object. Backstop Access Controls are not available for Administrative list objects, since they apply only to objects in cabinets (either regular or Product/Release cabinets used in Release Management).
