You can identify candidate objects for a Global Substitution job in several ways.
To identify a list of candidate objects, use one of these methods:
- Select one or more objects from a View, such as the Details or Recent Activity views.
- Run a Basic Search or a Saved Search and select or multiselect candidate objects for the job from the list of search results.
- [Optional] In the Global Substitution tool, use one or more Preprocess or Custom rules to further refine the set of candidate objects.
Candidate objects include folders, files, documents, structured document elements, and metadata, such as XML attributes, snapshot labels, and annotations.
