Editing Functions Supported in WebApp

WebApp supports many common editing functions on the open document.

The WebApp interface displays several toolbars useful for editing. Hover over a toolbar icon to display tooltip text.

Toolbar	Functions
Oxygen XML Web Author	The toolbar displays the name of the file that is open for editing, and the user name. Toolbar icons include: Repository functions to check in or revoke checkout. Undo or Redo last change. Save Search More Download Print Edit as XML (not supported for content in the repository) Preferences Help Report a problem
Review	Commands to support reviewing and commenting.
DITA	DITA commands for formatting, inserting, adding list items and modifying tables.

DITA

DITA commands for formatting, inserting, adding list items and modifying tables.

To the far right, clicking on headings provides more editing functions:

Review provides information about adding a comment to the selected content element.
Attributes allows you to set attribute/value pairs on the selected content element.
Validation allows you to validate the open document and optionally choose a root map.

Within the edit pane, you can place your cursor in an element or select text, then right-click to access a context menu with commands available for the location.
