Constraining Snapshot Labels by Group Membership

Snapshot label hints displayed in various web forms and dialogs can be constrained based on group membership of the requesting user.

Snapshot label hints are created by an administrator by editing fields in the application document. By default, all snapshot label hints are available for all users. However, snapshot labels can be created so they are constrained based on group membership. Requesting users must be an immediate or descendant member of the group to see the snapshot label hint in the list.

To constrain snapshot label hints, enter a group name and colon preceding the label text string. For example:

A snapshot label hint of Release 5.6 would be seen by all users.
A snapshot label hint of Reviewers:Release 5.6 would be seen only by users who are members of the Reviewers group.

Note: If the group is renamed, you must update the snapshot label hint in the application document.
