Before you perform a merge, consider these issues.

| Have any objects been renamed? | If any object has been renamed since branching to a new release, you must also change the name of the target release object to the exact same name before performing a merge. |
| Have any objects been moved into a different folder? | Merge processing will successfully merge if either the source or target objects have been moved. However, you may want to arrange the folder locations so both source and target objects are in the same folder location, to reduce confusion. |
