Allowing a Merge When the Object is Locked to a Named User

An administrator can define a named user that is allowed to hold locks on objects without preventing merge operations to succeed.

This option would most likely be utilized when workflow scriptlets are configured to lock or unlock documents to prevent unwanted updates when a document isn't in an authorized state.

This option is configured using the setReleaseManagementEnabled.py administrator script. See Administrator Scripts.

When implemented, the locked asset will be revoked, updated by the user that invoked the merge, then relocked to the assigned merge user.

Important: The merge user must be a member of the Administrators group.
