About the Astoria Public ID Map

Each DTD in the repository has a unique Public Id.

Astoria maintains a Public Id Map that you can view using the Workbench Ribbon. Select the Administration tab, then click Public ID Map. The Details view displays a list of DTDs in the repository.

Select a DTD from the list, then issue the Locate command to find where the DTD is stored in the repository.

DTDs in the repository can specify more than one Public Id. A Public Id may reference a specific version number (for example, -//OASIS//DTD DITA 1.3 Concept//EN), or can be unversioned (for example, -//OASIS//DTD DITA Concept//EN).

When you issue the Show Properties command on a DTD, you will see the Public Id(s) associated with the DTD. From this dialog, you can modify, add, or remove Public Ids associated with the DTD. However, you cannot modify or add duplicate Public Ids in the map. If more than one Public Id is associated with a DTD, you can select one of the Public Ids and click Set Default to make it the default.
Note: The Public Id that is configured as the default for a DTD is the Public Id that will appear in the DOCTYPE statement when documents using that DTD are exported from the repository.
